downloadThe Texoma, Wheat State and Central Districts would like to invite you to attend their joint spring conference February 25-26, in the live music capital of the world, Austin, Texas. We hope you’ll join us for a little golf, a little education and a little fun on 6th Street.

There is a golf tournament on Thursday afternoon at Lions Municipal Golf Course.  Lunch will be provided at noon and play will begin at 1:00 p.m. Awards will be presented at the course once everyone has finished. Michael Sprott of Corbion/Caravan will be handling the arrangements for the tournament. If you would like to be in a special foursome, or make a donation for prizes or sponsorship please contact him at If you do want to golf the cost is $85/person (advance registration), includes green fees, range balls, lunch & golf cart.

Thursday evening we will enjoy a banquet on Capital Cruises at 7pm.   Established in 1991, Capital Cruises is the largest all-electric boat fleet on the Highland Lakes. Nestled on the shores of beautiful Lady Bird Lake (formerly Town Lake) at the Hyatt Regency Hotel (208 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX), we are proud to offer lunch and dinner cruises, wedding events, internationally famous bat-watching excursions, party boat services, and the ultimate alternative for group and corporate outings.

On Friday, the technical sessions will start at 8am in the Sabine and Rio Grande Rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn.

We have reserved a block of rooms at Hilton Garden Inn Austin Downtown/Convention Center which is located at 500 N. Interstate 35, Austin, TX, 78701. The room rate of $195.00, plus tax, applies for single or double occupancy. Please reserve your rooms before Wednesday, February 3rd, after that date availability and rates are not guaranteed. These rooms do go fast, so book early and you won’t be disappointed! You may call 877-782-9444 and mention the IAOM group to get the reduced rate or use this link to make your reservations.  The hotel is in the convention center district which is 7 miles from the airport.  Taxis, Super Shuttle and CapMetro’s Airport Route are all available.  Uber is also available.

We hope while you are there, you will take time to enjoy all that Austin has to offer.  For visitors, the music scene is legendary; nearly 200 venues offer rock, blues, jazz, hip hop, punk or Latino shows nightly. The Broken Spoke, known as “the last true Texas dance hall,” features great country acts – and guests can also take a Texas Two-Step lesson. The Continental Club has showcased blues, rock and folk music since 1957, earning it the title, “Granddaddy of Austin music venues.” Antone’s, Austin’s “home of the blues,” is where Stevie Ray Vaughan cut his proverbial teeth. Newer stages like those at The Mohawk and Club DeVille showcase local acts alongside big-name touring artists. Where to begin? Click here.

For planning purposes we would greatly appreciate your advance registration.  We look forward to seeing you in Austin!
