Correspondence Course in Flour Milling
The IAOM Correspondence
Course in Flour Milling is used by industry professionals worldwide to
broaden their knowledge of the technology and management of grain
milling. A time-tested tool, milling and allied industry leaders have
relied on the Correspondence Course for decades to better equip
apprentice to senior-level employees with a greater understanding of the
industry.

Milling Maintenance Short Course I
IAOM offers Milling Maintenance I, a three-day course on
technical training in preventive maintenance; power
transmission/ bearings; sifter maintenance and flow; pneumatic systems;
programmable controllers; work orders; employee safety as related to
maintenance; and sanitation as related to maintenance. The course
is typically held in October of even-numbered years in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.

Durum Wheat Milling Course
This
course will familiarize participants with durum wheat and provide a
technical overview of durum milling. Differences between bread wheat and
durum wheat milling are emphasized. Purification is covered in-depth
because of its importance in semolina production. Subject matter meets
the needs of newcomers to the durum industry as well as those with years
of other types of milling experience. A tour of a durum mill and pasta
plant is included. The intent is to increase the miller's insight into
milling
performance
and semolina quality. This course is co-sponsored by the International
Association of Operative Millers (IAOM) and the Northern Crops Institute
(NCI). The course is held in June at the NCI in Fargo,
North Dakota USA.
